What is the Endowment Project?

Allah, the Almighty has legislated the good deeds and supererogatory performances which, if done by the Muslim he would be more happy and closer to Allah and as a compensation for what may be diminishing of duties and obligations, and of that is the endowment Sunna. Endowment is a kind of voluntary alms which the Muslim pays out of his money and makes it as continued alms for Allah to be spent in the various charity aspects and thereby he will have the running of wage during his life and after his death. This a great favor from Allah, the Almighty, that befalls to the charitable because of that which he paid as it will be a cause for flowing the benefaction to him after his death, No doubt that this is a great favor in such matter.

The messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
"If a human being dies, his work will discontinue except of three things: a continued alms or knowledge that can be useful and good son who prays for him"

The importance of the project is that it helps every Muslim in endowing a part of what he owns. Endowments are no longer limited to the solvent people but it includes also the limited income people. Benefaction, benevolence, alms and charity deeds are not limited to one door, because they need a permanent finance. This blessed project is a good example for supporting the endowment banks doors with the required money on a permanent basis as long as the assets of the money given as alms have been ceased and detained and not touched and the charitable expenditure therein is limited only to its proceed.
